Biophilia

Frankie Boyle Studio | Artwork

Biophilia is a dynamic art form, constantly evolving to adapt to the environment it inhabits. It reflects our deep biological connection to nature, with biophilic design serving as its foundation. This art form draws inspiration from our circadian rhythm and neuroaesthetics, creating a harmonious blend between human biology and the natural world, primarily sourced from natural light, such as the sun, moon and fire.

It has the ability to absorb life’s elements and surroundings. With its meticulously crafted wool coating, it draws us into its admitting wavelengths of light, tapping into our primal connections of biophilic design and circadian rhythm.

In an urban setting Biophilia allows us to tap back into the natural ecosystem, synchronising the fluidity of life amongst the buildings and into the trees.  Simply put, making the invisible visible.

This art form plays upon our connection with flow and nature.  It will draw you to the negative space that flows between the natural world of plants and trees, allowing your sole to be connected, like watching a murmuration of starlings, a flowing stream or the dance of a wheatfield.

This artwork was recently shown at Canary Wharf Winter Lights 2024 and is now available for hire.
