Spectrum at EDiT Gallery
Spectrum is a growing collection of light-based artworks that explore the psychological, emotional, and societal resonance of colour. Rooted in nature’s palette - sunsets, skies, seasons - each piece distils a fleeting moment into a minimalist beam of light.
Through subtle shifts and radiant hues, Spectrum invites viewers into an immersive, meditative space where colour becomes both language and mirror.
The works reflect our internal states, cultural constructs, and collective rhythms. Inspired by circadian cycles, biophilic design, and the ephemeral beauty of natural light, Frankie transforms walls into portals of introspection, where time, emotion, and perception dissolve into a spectrum.
‘Baker-Miller Pink’ and ‘Meditative Green’ are currently being sold at EDiT Gallery.
Spectrum Golden Hour
Every sunset provides a chance to explore the ever-changing gradients in the sky, something incredibly mesmerising and a fascination of mine. The way the sky transforms from one hue to another, almost imperceptibly, sparked the inspiration for my latest artwork.
‘Spectrum: Golden Hour and Pink Sunset’ focuses on the golden hour, a fleeting moment when the world is bathed in warm, golden light, and the clouds take on striking shades of pink and orange. The way these colours interact, blend, and shift has always captivated me.
Drawing inspiration from biophilic design and our bodies' natural rhythms, Spectrum aligns with our circadian cycles, evoking emotion, and creating a sense of connection to the natural world. This piece is not just about colour but about time, how it moves, how it feels, and how we experience it through light and nature.
Spectrum Cotton Candy
Following my exploration of sky gradients, Spectrum Cotton Candy adopts a similar approach, shifting the palette to delicate pinks and whites that evoke the soft, flowing transition of light in the sky.
Inspired by the way colours move and blend during twilight, this piece captures the ethereal glow that lingers as day fades into night.
The gentle movement of pink and white hues mirrors the soothing, meditative effect of watching clouds drift or the sky slowly shift in colour.
This piece is a reflection of stillness, transition, and the quiet beauty that can be found in nature’s constant motion.
