Are You Thinking What I’m Thinking? explores the private language of the mind. The constant, often unconscious dialogue we hold with ourselves, and the assumptions we make about the inner worlds of others.
The work sits in the space between two people: the silent negotiation of alignment, the desire for mutual understanding, and the uncertainty that follows. It reflects the subtle questioning that runs beneath conversation. Are we on the same wavelength, do you feel what I feel, do you see what I see?
By bringing this internal exchange into the physical world, the piece invites viewers to notice their own subconscious narratives. The thoughts left unspoken, the projections placed onto others, and the fragile hope that coherence can exist between separate minds.
It asks whether true alignment is ever fully knowable, or whether it is something we continuously seek, sense, and momentarily feel, rather than confirm.
The work does not offer an answer. Instead, it creates a pause. A shared moment of recognition in the uncertainty of human connection.
